My grandmother's grandmother was Catherine O'Brien, born aboout 1828 in Co. Limerick. Her parents were William O'Brien and Margaret Taylor, and the family emigrated to America about 1837. There is a marriage record of 07 February 1815 in Bruff, of William O'Brien of Kilifinane and Margaret Taylor, both Roman Catholic. The witnesses were Patrick O'Donnell and Edmond Kenefick. I'm hoping to find out more. Thank you for this new parish page.

There is an 1833 Tithe Applotment record in Newtown townland in Bruff civil parish for a William O'Brien. Possibly this record is for the father of Catherine. (The copy if very faint).
