Hello Ireland XO,
Thank you very much for your recent e-mail and congratulations on the re-launch of your web-site. My great great grandfather Patrick Hogan’s grave is at New Church and his farm was in Rusheen.

I have joined the Knockainey Parish and wanted to make certain I was in the right place. Thank you very much in advance for your time and consideration.
With kind regards,

Hi Michael
There are a couple of townlands called Rusheen. Was Patrick's farm in Limerick?
Best wishes

Hello Clare,
Thank you very much for your note and yes Patrick was from Limerick. The farm was in the Rusheen area of Patrickswell at Lough Gur. Attached please find a link to his gravesite at New Church and a list of the Towns people from Griffins Valuation of 1851. The list and a map of the area are at the end of the web-page. His wife was Mary Leo, I believe her father and brothers names are also listed.
With kind regards,
Michael

Michael - in relation to your original message, you are in the right place!
Old headstones are so interesting and revealing, sometimes the last remaining record of a family, which is sad.
Happy New Year
