Hello - I am seeking help in finding more information on the McMahon family. My 3x great grandmother was Hannah (or Anna) McMahon. I have found her marriage record to John Ward (Oct. 16, 1850) and baptism records of 4 of her 5 children in the NLI parish records (I can't find my 2x great grandfathers baptism record-Patrick Joseph Ward, youngest son in the family, born sometime around 1864). I cannot find any birth or death information on Hannah at all. I did notice that the sponsors for some of Hannah's childrens baptisms were Maurice and Cornelius McMahon (brothers possibly?). Any help would be appreciated!

The Tithe Applotments (free online at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/) have 4 McMahons in Mahoonagh in 1833 so looks like they were there when Patrick was born in 1864 but there is no Mahoonagh record for him on www.rootsireland.ie/
However Rathkeale is next to Mahoonagh & there is 1 record from there with father Joh but mother is not Anna / Hanna!:
The marriage record of John & Anna is there but gives no info on parents or groom's address as you know!
Griffiths Valuation - free at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/ has 3 mcMahons in Mahoonagh in 1852
There are baptism records for Cornelius (but not Maurice) with father John but none in Mahoonagh & none with Anaa / Hanna!

Thanks Col - I have been looking through Griffiths and see maybe a connection!
John Meagher is listed as the landlord in 1852 for:
James McMahon (possible father or relation to Hannah??)
And
John Ward (could it be the same John that is Hannah's spouse)
Patrick Ward (could be John's Father)
I feel like there must be some relation!
