Need information concerning Denis Neville, born about 1745-1767 in Ireland. I read that he was from Rathkeale. He married Helen Brown possibly in Kentucky. Denis died in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.
Two of their children were:
James b: about 1794 and Marguerite Frances who died 26 Aug 1875 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Records for the Roman Catholic parish of Rathkeale begin in 1811 so there will be no parish records for any baptism, marriage or death in the parish before this time. There are also missing records in the series between 1823 and 1831.
There are a few things you can try to overcome this lack of parish records; you could ancestry.com to see if there is any reference to the family name in public member trees or messages on that site. Another long shot would be to check the Irish Newspaper Archive to see if there is any reference to the family in early newspapers. It is a subscription site but you can subscribe for as little as one day:
