Hello:
I would like to know who the parents are of George Bartman, who was baptised Nov 09, 1806 at Kilfinnane, Limerick, Ireland and anything else about him. (LDS Film 89742). I aslo would love to know when and how immigrated to Canada about 1848. George is my second great grandfather.
He married Ellen Shouldis on January 31, 1837 at Rahkealee Parish where she is from. George was from Particles Parish.
His name changes several times in Canada and raises my curiosity as to why.
Previously, I have searched ancestry.com, ancestry.com and ancestry.uk., family search, google, and roots web sites as well as a book given to me.
All help is appreciated,

It may be an idea to contact the local parish priest in Kilfinane to see if he can locate the original record which will have the parents? names listed. Here is a link to the parish contact page:

You could also try getting a copy of the marriage certificate as sometimes the couple?s fathers? names were recorded on these.
