Looking for any suggestions in researching GGG Grandmother Catherine Riordan. She was married to William Ryan of Co Limerick and lived in the town land of Coolnadown. I believe they were married in Emly/ Cashel Parish. They had the following children: James, William, Ellen, John Joseph, James, Cornelius and Joanna. They were evicted from their farm in March 1887. We believe she died 14 Feb 1896. I am wanting to find out her family lineage, where she came from, her parents etc...

  • Hi Barbara,

Catherine Riordan married William Ryan in Lattin, county Tipperary on 20 February 1855. The witnesses were Paul Ryan and Catherine Hanly. Catherine was the daughter of Cornelius Riordan, Glenbane, Lattin. Her mother was Catherine, nee Lynch, Aherlow, county Tipperary. Catherine married Cornelius in Lisvernane, Glen of Aherlow on 11 February 1812.
