I have recently come across a record of the birth of Joannes (John) Laurenceson born 31 Dec 1854 in Mostrim, Longford, Ireland. Parish Edgeworthstown Diocese Ardagh. Parents are Joannis Laurenceson and Maria MDonagh. I have a John Laurenceson who I thought was born in Portnuef Quebec. His father was John Francis Laurenceson from Ireland but not sure where and his wife I thought was Maria Brown. Wondering if there is any other information on the above Laurencesons that might show more of a connection.

I checked on Roots. There were no other Lauerenceson baptismal records in Mostrim. There were a number of Lawrence baptismal records with father John but none of the records had a mother's surname of McDonagh or Brown.
