Hi!

I am trying to locate my great-grandfather's family.  According to the Census, he was living in Listulk (Dunleer) Louth in 1911 with his wife Margaret and his 3 youngest children;  he was 67 years old and was born in Co. Louth.

I know that he got married to Margaret in Rosnaree, Co Meath in June of 1968.

I have located 2 baptism records for a John Brennan on "Roots Ireland":  One for John Brennan born on
Oct 5, 1843 - address Balriggan, Dundalk.  The other one is for John Brennan born on September 20, 1844 in Tallanstown, Co Louth.

Do you know if there is any way I can determine if any one of these 2 John Brennans are my great-grandfather.

Thank you.

Maureen

As I mentioned in my response to the Margaret Callaghan message, I can't locate a civil marriage index record for the couple which when you get the actual record, would show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom which would allow you to match with the fathers names on the two baptismal records you located.

  • Thanks Roger.  I will see if anyone in my family has any additional info about my great-grandfather.
