Hello,

 

I am searching for more information about Patrick Conroy  (born ca. 1815) and his wife Catherine D(o)ugan (born ca. 1814) both of whom were born in County Louth. I do not know the parish/townland where they were born, but I do know that Patrick's parents were Edward (born ca. 1787) and Bridget Conroy (born ca. 1790), and Catherine D(o)ugan's parents were James (born ca. 1782) and Catherine D(o)ugan (born ca. 1785). I do not know the maiden names of Patrick or Catherine Conroy's mothers. Edward, Bridget, Patrick and Catherine and Catherine's parents James and Catherine all left Ireland and eventually settled in Wyoming County, New York, USA.

Edward Conroy's parents were James and Rose Conroy, but I am not sure where they were born, nor do I have any dates for their births or deaths.

I would be grateful for any help in locating the parish or townland where any of these family members were from.

    I did locate an 1825 Tithe Applotment listing for an James Doogan in Gallagh townland in Dysart civil parish. Can't tell if this is your realtive but it is a possible lead.

    Thank you for the link to the tithe applotment list for James Doogan. That could be the person I am looking for, as I am not sure when the family left Ireland.
