I'm looking for information on my Great Great Great Grandfather James Henderson. So far, this is all I know about him:
1. Born in Leiercurry, Louth (I've tried researching Leiercurry and haven't found anything. I don't know if this was a transcription error, or a misspelling, or if it's possibly the Irish spelling...figuring this out would be a big help)
2. Birthdate: April 16, 1827
3. Married Elizabeth Fleming in Duleek, Meath, Ireland on March 15, 1853
4. Immigrated to Canada in 1871
I know things about his life in Canada, and about his descendents, but have no idea of any of his siblings (if he even had any), his parents, occupation or where he was born. I've hit a brick wall. Any advice would be appreciated as my mother (who is a Henderson) knows very little about her side of the family and would like me to try and trace it.

Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reasonwhy they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given atthe port of arrival rather than the port of departure.
