Ireland Reaching Out - www.irelandxo.comG 'DAY....

Hello again....

I have a querry regarding the same James Corrigan from my posts in March....

On his son John's marriage to Mary Kilbane in 1903 in Wesport Mayo.....It states that John's father is JAMES CORRIGAN   FARMER.....My question is that if James had died before this marriage ...why is JAMES  not listed as deceased like it is on some of my English Records ?????

Thank You !

  • The status of the father is not a specific requirement for marriage certs, same as with certs for England/Wales, but some priests/ministers/registrars asked this additional question and  filled this detail in.
