My great grandmother, Louisa McLaughlin, was born in Lurga Lower Kilbreagh, Mayo about 1860. Her father was Patrick McLaughlin and her mother was Elinora Harkins. Louisa came to the US in 1881.

Hello again!
Likely the family worshipped at St. James Church in Charlestown. Records for that parish do not appear to be on Roots Ireland. Here is a link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0126 Baptismal records start in 1855.

Thank you so much for this. I was able to find the baptism record for Louisa McLoughlin from July 1, 1860. I would like to find the marriage record for her parents Patrick McLaughlin and Elinora Harkin but I beleive they were married 1843 or before.

Likely the record is no longer available. Civil registration dis not begin until 1864.
