I am looking for any information on my my family surname of Mcgoff.   I have traced my 3rd Great Grandfather to I believe Castlebar.  His name is Joseph McGoff born in 1821.

    Castlebar is in Aglish civil parish. The name may also be spelled McGough. I looked at the 1856 Griffiths Valuation head of household lising and there were a number of McGough (pronounced McGoff) records. See below. Do you have any information regarding his father's name?
