Looking for information on the Warren family from Kilgarvan. Parents John and Margaret, children Mary b 1845, Phillip b 1849 and Catherine b 1853. Mary and Phillip emigrated to New Zealand around 1860. I think Catherine married Daniel Keleher but not sure what happened to her. Phillip Warren is my great grand-father and I live in New Zealand. Names Patrick and Cornelius were mentioned by my aunt also.

The 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Kilgarvan civil parish shows two John B. Warrens. One lived in Ballagh townland and the other in Sillahertane townland. I assume your John was one of the two.

I also looked at www.irishgenealogy.ie for baptismal records but only found the records for the three children in your note.

Jane,
If you try the variants of Warren(Murnane/Marrinane) you will get a few more results on the site Roger mentions.
I'm not sure if this is the correct Kilgarvan family, it appears to be correct. The mother of the group having John Murnane as their father lists the mother as Margaret Sullivan.

I think Helen has given me the info I was looking for. John I think was using the name Murnane before Warren.
