I am looking into this,so give me a day or two to get a summary.  I can also give information on the Gilvarry's as well - this is an uncommon name, but found in Ballina and Killala.

In order to help me figure out what best to look for, what is it that you are looking for?  Do you want to find out what happened to the family after 1911 or do you want to go back and find out earlier generations?

Thank you for your quick response. Well if I have the choice I would like to go further back in time for both families. I would also like to know more about the townland and burial grounds. I am new to this whole thing and I am wondering if there is a local historical group or web site that will foucus on Ballina and Laghtadawannagh.

Thank you so much. I feel that I am being to close in on the story that my mother and grand mother started so long ago.
