Hello, looking for a Patrick Kilkenny who married Bridget Healy (born 1932) and had a daughter Bridget J Kilkenny (born 1872) There were other siblings- Michael, Patrick, Bernard and Elizabeth. Some of the siblings immigrated to America circa 1888. Only info I have is county Mayo for birth of Bridget J Kilkenny to Patrick Kilkenny and Bridget Healy.
Any info would be appreciated.

It appears that the Kilkenny family were members of Kilvine/Ballindine RC parish. Records for that parish do not begin until 1870. I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and located civil birth records (civil registration started in 1864) for Mary 1865 John Edward 1867 Bartholomew 1870 Bridget 1872 Patrick 1874 (Baptismal only). When Patrick was baptized, the family was living in Cloonmore townland in Crossboyne civil parish. I'm wondering if Bartholomew was Bernard. Other children may have been born before 1864.

Here is the 1901 census. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Mayo/Kilvine/Cloonmore/1587841/  Patrick had died before 1901 but I was unable to locate a record.

  • I am a "very" distant cousin of the Bridget Healy of Cloonmore who married Patrick Kilkenny.

According to my research she was the daughter of Thomas Healy of Cloonmore (1800-1872) and Bridget (1820-1885) who had a nee name of (possibly) Neely, but I have my doubts about that is it might be a mis-transcription of Healy.

No further information about the Kilkenny family.
