I am in the process of tracing my family history and was hoping you could help or point me in a possible direction.
I have traced my family back to a marriage between Michael Moore and Sarah Hanlon (possibly Hanlin) On their son’s birth certificate, details marriage date 1st January 1856 area WestPort. Michael’s father was Anthony Moore and Mother Sarah Moore, maiden name Welsh.
Michael and his wife moved to Lanarkshire in Scotland some time before their first son, Anthony was born, 1857 as the 1881 Scotland census confirms him as being born in Larkhall, Scotland.
I am hoping to find information of Michael and his fore fathers and come over to their place of origin and enjoy the Guinness and raise a toast to them.
