Michael Ruddy married Catherine Gibbons in Oughaval Parish in 1834. They immigrated to Liverpool then New York City in 1842 then Syracuse then Allamakee County Iowa.
Catherine Gibbons' brother Thomas emigrated to New York in 1840s was a school teacher in New York City. Married twice and lived out his life in New York City.
