I checked Roots Ireland www.rootsireland.ie indexes and found an 1833 baptismal record for a Malachy Graham father John in the Shrule RC church records. I worked with the indexes and determined that the mother's first name was Ann but I could not determine her maiden name.
Roots is a pay site and they now require a subscription to view the transcriptions of church records.
By the way, I could not locate a townland called Glencorrib. It must have been a place name which did not become a townland.
A land agent was the landlord's representative to work with the landlord's tenants. Here are links to some background.

thankyou very much for the info,it prompted me to look for glencorrib ,it's apparently in or near bunnifollistran and there was some estate there years ago, possibly where my ancestor worked, I shall have a look at the roots website when I've got used to things a bit more.

thankyou for that info, i may have replied already but not sure if you got it, however ,thanks, I shall have a look at roots when I get used to things , I had a look on google for history of glencorrib and found ref in bunnifollistran area, some old estate which is no longer there, perhaps this accounts for his occupation, not a very popular one i imagine having looked at the history of the lives of tenant farmers in that period.
