  • John:

I located the civil birth index record for John Joseph which is below. You can get a copy from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. If you want a baptismal certificate then contact the Church of the Nativity in Donore. Contact info below.

If you want to get the civil record let me kow and I will forward instructions.

  • My Grandfather (William O'Brien) stated that his middle name was Sheridan on his marriage certificate and went on to name my Father Sheridan.

Which makes me wonder, how common is this name as a first and middle name in Ireland?

It might be yet another path for me to go down in my search.

    Regards to All, Mick
