Are there any connections on this site as well to Charles William Hamilton and LATITIA Armstrong, Hanwood, Dunboyne, Co Meath.  On an entry of marriage the witnesses are M Hamilton and a Francis SYNGE, I believe that the surname SYNGE might actually be BONYNGE - is there anyway of checking the original documents etc. ? Or is there a Francis SYNGE/BONYNGE living in Meath at the time??  This is a follow up to my previous request.

Hello again! Can you provide some dates? There may not be an image of the record online since it is Co. Meath and I assume the couple were not RC.

  • Hi Roger - I think it was around 1837.  They were COI.  Having spoken to someone else today I've been advised that Synge is a surname!  I think I was being too hopeful!

I could not find a record online but why don't you contact the Dunboyne Anglican church to see if they can assist. Below also is a link to a piece on John Millington Synge.
