Patrick riordan born 17 March 1837 was the son of John Riordan and Margaret Sullivan. The family came to America. They first settled in LaSalle IL where John Riordan died. Margaret Sullivan Riordan moved the family to Solomon Kansas about 1860. Patrick married Mary Devane in 1868 in Chapman Kansas. They had 13 children.
John, Margaret Ellen, Patrick Francis, Mary Ann, Bridget, James, Thomas, Ceclia, Dennis, Timothy Vincent, Teresa, Blanche Agnes and Joseph.

I have just send you an e-mail. It contains two photos and part of an essay written by a Riordan descandant in 1939. It is amazing all the information that is available here. John Riordan and Margaret Sullivan were married in 1827 in Mitchelstown. I don't know John's parents, but Margaret Sullivan is the daughter of Timothy Sullivan and Mary Williams.

Could your Riordan be related to Cornelius riordan from Mitchelstown.
Cornelius riordan was in the Griffiths Valuation .
