I am searching for information on Matthew Moore, born in Trim, County Meath, about 1809.  He was a cooper by trade.  He married Jane Glennon, from Edgeworthstown, County Longford.

Their children were, I believe, born in Dublin:

Michael, born abt 1835

Anna, born abt 1836

Edward, born abt 1838

James M, born abt 1841

Matthew, born abt 1845

It seems they arrived in New York about 1849-50.

I would appreciate any information about the Moore family.

Thank you very much,

Colette Dillon Waldron

  • Hi Colette

I couldn't find Matthew's birth/baptism record on or Family Search.

If he was RC, the National Liobrary has Trim baptisms but they don't start till 1829.

His marriage is on rootsireland but annoyimgly does not have any info that you don't have!
