You don?t say what denomination the family were. If they were Church of Ireland then the Clones parish records start in 1667. They are partially on-line on the rootisireland site but the baptism records for the years 1704 to 1754 are not on-line. There is however a copy, including those missing years, in PRONI in Belfast, but a personal visit is required to access them.

Aghabog Church of Ireland?s  early records were all lost in the 1922 fire and they have nothing prior to 1877.

Church of Ireland records for Clones (Adhadrimsee) begin in 1829 though it seems that Salt Lake City has earlier records dating from 1682 into the early 1700s. Roman Catholic records begin in 1848 for baptisms and 1821 for marriages. Do you know what religion your ancestors were? There are some records available at the RCB Library, you should keep an eye here to see when the Clones records appear:

There is also a Presbyterian Church near Garron, just outside Clones, so that is something to consider too if you are not certain about their religious denomination.

There is a Robert Wiggins recorded on the Flax Growers List. Given how uncommon the name is, it would be important to record the details of all Wiggins you find in case you can later link them to your family:

How would I go about getting information on the Church of Ireland baptisms records for the years 1704 to 1754 that are not on-line from Ahoghill, County Antrim.  I live in the USA, and making a personal to PRONI is impossible for me.  What alternative to I have to find Samuel Wiggins, b 1748 COI, County of Antrim. baptism records.

You could write to the church, but my understanding is that if they undertake the research they may charge you (?20 an hour). Alternatively you could employ a researcher to look the records up for you, either at PRONI or at the church. Access to PRONI?s copy is free but there may be a fee for a researcher to look at the church registers.

PRONI is in Belfast which is in the UK, so the currency there is sterling (?). If dealing with the church itself, that's in the Republic of Ireland and so the currency is the euro (?).
