  • Didn't see any birth/marriage records for this family at rootsireland.ie. But there were two Anthony Murrays listed as head of household in Co. Monaghan in the 1858-1860 Griffith's Valuation:

Griffith Murray Anthony Lisnakeeny Magheracloone Co. Monaghan
Griffith Murray Anthony Town Of Monaghan Monaghan Co. Monaghan

    I hope this is helpful.

  • A little more...

Anth[ony] and Thomas Murray lived in the townland of Crossreagh, parish of Killeavan, in Tithe Applotment Books in 1825:

In the 1796 Flax Growers List, many Murrays were listed including:

          Murray    Anthony        Tehallan        Monaghan

  • Thanks Patricia for the info!   It doubt he is the Anthony in Griffiths valuation, due to being in the 1860 census in michigan.   But the other info gives me something to do more research on.
