Looking for where in Roscommon my 3 times great grandmother is from, Her name was Winifred Donohoe and her father was John. She was Catholic and was born between 1838 and 1840 in February. immigrated to the U.S. in 1854. I wish knew more, but I do not.

I forgot to mention how I know she was from County Roscommon. I have a letter which one of her grandchildren had written to a grandchild and it states she was from County Roscommon, Ireland. I just don't know where to begin to look. I have tried rootsireland.ie and there is only one match in Longford County which is possible, but would contradict what I know. I really do not think she was born before 1838 and I know there were not births registered at that time. It would have to be a church record. Any suggestions??
