  • Stephen:

The Shine family lived in Corramore townland in Kiltoom civil parish. Below are the 1901 and 1911 census records for the family. They had eightt children. Looks like Bernard died in 1917 and Sarah in 1921.. You can get copies of the death records for around 4 euros each from the General Register Office. I can give you instructions if you plan to get copies.

  • Roger, looking at the documents you kindly provided, I do not see William nor the 8 children you reference.  Am I missing pages? Thanks for your help.

    Stephen:

Go to the link below. Print and fill out the form. Only ask for a copy of the record. Make sure you include the volume and page number from the index record plus the Athlone registration district. Mail the form to GRO address in Ireland. You can ask them to e-mail the copy back.

The 1911 census form indicates that they had 8 children and all 8 were living in 1911. I assume most of the children had emigrated or were living somewhere else in Ireland.

Let me know if you have more questions.
