I have a baptism cert. for my relatives for; Michaelem Conelly May 8 1847 parish Kironan, Diocese Ardagh an Conmacnois. The parents are Jacobus Conelly and Maria McCormick these, I believe, are my great great grandparents. We knew them as Mary and John. They had a son, Michael, that was born before leaving Ireland. They settled in Minnesota where my great grandfather was born.
My sister and I are coming to Roscommon in April, and are hoping to locate any info about our relatives before we come.
I appreciate any help anyone can offer.

Roots Ireland which is a pay site to view records has Kilronan RC baptism records starting in 1823 and marriages starting in 1824. www.rootsireland.ie You may be able to find the marriage record for the parents.
Also Jacobus in Latin translates to James.
