I'm looking for help to find the parents of Luke Neary who was born 1839-died 1917 Ballina married Jane Hagan b. 1846 Sunderland County Durham.Lukes children were Patrick,Frances,Lizzie.Sarah and Siddie.My contact Dave Neary noeleenanddave@xtra.co.nz
Luke was buried in 1917 at Ballina. Son Patrick married Mary Ellan McGuire Patrick was born 1869 Rosscommon
died County Durham 1947 Not sure of Parish I believe Lukes Father was named Patrick

Many RC parishes do no have records back to 1839. I checked the Roots Ireland indexes and there was no 1839 baptism for a Luke Neary. There was a record in 1840 in the Loughglynn RC church. The parents were Thady and Brigid. There were no other baptisms in that parish for that couple.
I checked the 1855 Griffiths valuation head of household listing for Co. Roscommon but could not locate a Thady Neary entry.
