Hello, Would anyone have knowledge of Nicholas Hussey born ?1792 in Roscommon. He married Ellen Kelly maybe in Roscommon and had the following children: Anna(A) born abt 1823,Ellen 1827,Catherine 1831,Maria 1833,Nicholas 1834,Edward Martin 1835,Bedelia 1837 and Elizabeth 1838 - who may have been christened in Kilteevan. Nicholas.Ellen and family arrived in NY in 1840 along with my husband's Great Grandmother's brother Charles Hussey born 1820 in Dublin.

I searched on Roots Ireland and did not find a marriage record for a Nicholas Hussey around 1820. I did find seven baptismal records for Hussey children with father Nicholas and mother with a surname Kelly: Ann 1821 Edward 1824, Catherine 1826, Mary 1828, Brigid 1831, Niclos 1832, Patrick 1834. The records were in the Roscommon RC church. I looked at three of the records and the mother was either Ellen, Helen or Eleanor.

Hello Roger, Thank you very much for checking on RootsIreland. That helps to confirm where they were born along with information from bank accounts in New York giving Roscommon as Nicholas Hussey Snr's birthplace. My ambition is to discover the relationship between Nicholas Snr and Charles Hussey's father Patrick who was married in Dublin City in 1820!
