Searching relatives of Tommie or Delia Murray who recently died in the 2000's.  They are related to me.  Their grandfather and My grandfather were brothers, Thomas and James Joseph Rogerson respectively.    Their Mother's name was Margaret and I don't know their father's first name.  Plots of all the Rogerson's are in unmarked graves in Taughboy Cemetary  Ballyforan.  Their farm was in Carraghdoon, Roscommon.   Thanks Bob Rogers at rrogers85718@comcast.net or robjul825@gmail.com

  • Are you referring to the James Joseph Rogerson who died in Kansas City whose mother was Margaret Killian?  She died 1911 in Carraghdoon.  If so, would you be willing to share info on that Rogerson line?  BTW, the father in that family was Robert Emmet Rogerson who also died in Curraghdoon.

  • Sure I would be willing to share information.  Someone in the Ancestry World Tree Project was researching the Rogerson family and was is contact with Delia and Tommie Murray in the 1970's.  They both died in the 2000's and I don't know if relatives are living at that location.  One of the genealogist from Ireland recommended calling the parish priest at Taghboy to see if he knew the family.  This site Ireland reaching out seemed to be a good fit for doing that.  I think you e-mailed me about the pictures of Katherine Rogers (Solan) a long time ago.  How are you related to the Rogersons?   Thanks Bob Rogers

  • Katherine Solan sounds familiar.  I have yet to find an efficient way to keep track of all the emails I have sent and to whom I have sent them.

My great grandfather was a Rogerson.  Earliest known location in Ireland was in Co. Roscommon in the parish of Fourmilehouse.  Last known location in Ireland was the town of Elfin, Co Roscommon before they emigrated to Brooklyn in 1882.
