My family came to the states from Sligo and the last born there was Richard Ginty (possibly McGinty) born in March of 1816. His father was Bartly (Batholemew?) and his mother was Catherine Armstrong.
Richard had a sister named Mary. They both came to the states in 1845 or a little earlier. They settled for a time in Worcester Massachusetts where Richard married a Mary Henry who I think may have also been from Sligo but I don't know where.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

I looked at the 1827 Tithe listings for Co. Sligo and there were two Bartholomew/Barthly Ginty in Achonry civil parish. Don't know if there is a connection but I would treat as leads. http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/results.jsp?…
The RC records for churches in Achonry parish start much later.
