i have been searching for my ancester, Michael Kilbride's family. He was born/raised in Sligo City in 1817. i have no info as to who his parents are. i do know he was in N.Y. in Sept. 1845 and married Margaret Waters there. I'd appreciate any help.

Most of the church records are on either www.rootsireland.ie or www.irishgenealogy.ie
I went to roots ireland and found 4 Michael Kilbrides in the date range you mentioned.
Michael Kilbride baptised 1816 Co.Roscommon
Michael Kilbride baptised 1817 Co. Wexford
Michael Kilbride baptised 1817 Co.Wicklow
Michael Kilbride baptised 1819 Co. Roscommon
I would suggest that the two records for Roscommon are on the right track as Co.Roscommon is right next to Co. Sligo.
It would be worth opening these two records to see what they contain. I think it costs €5 each.
