Davy family from Liscouvey, Sligo

Davy is almost exclusively a Co. Sligo surname. Tawnagh is a civil parish in Co. Sligo and also an RC parish known also as Riverstown and records for that parish go back to 1803. Ballymote is a town  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballymote  and also an RC parish also known as Emlaghfad/Kilmorgan and this parish is just to the west of Riverstown/Tawnagh. Baptismal records for Emlaghfad parish start in 1856

Liscouvey is likely a local place name but it is not listed in the offical townland list. There is a Lisconny townland in Drumcolumb civil parish and a Lisconry townland in Drumrat civil parish both in the general area of Tawnagh and Ballymote.

I did check the subscription site Roots Ireland and there are about ten Davy baptismal records from 1814-1820 but no Thomas. The earliest Davey record with a father Michael is in 1826.

Likely there is no baptismal record for Thomas Francis.

Thank you for responding and I feel I have a  better understanding of these different areas.   I am deeply grateful and  if you could clarify one more thing for me.  I have just spent a good amount of time trying to figure where  Taunagh Catholic Parish, Sligo is located.  Is this part of Tawnagh? Pehaps a Townland? I noticed it is mentioned as 
Taunagh Catholic Parish with Taunagh National School,    Again, thank you very much.

Tawnagh (Taunagh) or Riverstown parish covers the area of five different civil parishes including Tawnagh civil parish. 

 If you look at this picture  https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0565   on the NLI site (upper right corner) it will give you an idea where the parish area was. To the northeast and east was Co. Leitrim (light blue shading).

Tawnagh national school is in Riverstown. https://www.taunaghns.ie/

I have Davy ancestors who lived in Sligo. They were from Muckelty. I have copied some info about Muckelty below. It possibly borders the area where your ancestors were from. 

Muckelty borders the following other townlands:

Achonry to the east. Ballinvally to the north. Carnyara to the north. Tawnavoultry to the east. Toberscardan to the south. Tobertelly to the west

My ancestor was Catherine Davy. She was my ggg grandmother.

Hello again Mona. I just google mapped Tawnaugh to Muckelty and it is less than 30 km away. Considering what Roger says about the Davy surname being pretty well  a Sligo only name and there being only 10 Davy births recorded for the area, the likelihood that your Davys are also my Davys is pretty good. 

Also, Thomas was either Catharine's brother or father.
