My grandfather (Edward Donnelly) was was married to Eliza Goodwin in 1891 in Borrisokane,
Witnesses were Martin Kelly and Annie Kelly. Both Edward & Eliza had there address as Eglish .
Eliza did have a son Hugh (to Hugh Conroy in 1885 in Eglish).
Edward & Eliza first child was born in1892 is listed as Firmount.
Edward,s father was James, and Eliza,s father was Thomas.
All information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi John,
Further to your query on the above familly I have found them living at Shannon Street, Borrisokane in both the 1901 & 1911 Census. In the 1901 census it lists Edward as being from Co. Galway & Lizzie (as she is referred to in both records) as being from Co. Clare, in the 1911 census it lists both as being from Co. Galway. You can view the census records online through www.census.nationalarchives.ie
Over the coming weeks I will try gather some further information as to where the children of the family went & will let you know if I find anything that may be of benefit to you.
