Looking for any Minogues related to John Minogue born aprox 1820 married Elizabeth (bessie) Kennedy born aprox 1822 from roscommon, son Mathew born 1851, son John J Minogue my grandfather born 1854 , March 10th, 3 younger sisters , all baptized in RC Church in Potroe Tipperary, they came to USA 1860, to Troy NY and then poultney /Fairhaven VT the slate capital of USA, close to Castleton VT. No record of the father John or Mathew comming with them assumed deceased, but that is the mystery to solve etc. Im great grandson of John J Minogue and my email is billminogue@gmail.com

Have you tried checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) for John and Elizabeth's relatives in the area? The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38): Microfilm copies of the books for all of Ireland are available at the National Archives of Ireland (NAI) http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/tithe-applotment-books-and-the-primary-griffith-valuation/ or the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com or here: www.failteromhat.com Failte Romhat has lots of other useful links you could try looking at.
