Mary Griffin was married to a Dudley and I know she had at least two children from this marriage, Michael and Annie who emigrated to the States. From letters she wrote I think she may have had more children.

Mary Griffin then married a John Keaty in Bansha/Kilmoyler in 1864. She had one child, William, from this marriage. He came to Australia.

The only documentation I have is the marriage certificate from 1864, stating that her father was James Griffin and he is a Nailor/Sailor in America. She was of full age in 1864 and a Widow.

Years of searching later, I have only found one possible Baptism for Mary and it is in Borrisoleigh in 1842, daughter of James Griffin and Eliza Jervis. This James Griffin is a Soldier and an 1842 birth is around the right time.

If anyone could make any connections I would be grateful.

    If this is the birth of a Mary Griffin  our possible Griffin connection in Borrisoleigh is at least one and perhaps two, generations apart.

    My Mary Griffin was possibly born around 1842, or even earlier, as she was of Full Age when she remarried in 1864. Her father was James Griffin.

    I will keep your note just in case something shows up.
