I have been researching in Australia and located some further information.
I have seen a record of the ship "Victory" which left Liverpool on 25th May 1855. It clear states that my great great grandfather was from Cahir, TIPPERARY.
the names on the manifest are:
Patrick 36 (DOB 1819) & Bridget 35 (DOB1820) with offspring Michael 20 Johanna 17 Mary 15 Patrick 14 Alice 14 Anne 9 KEARNEY. They are shown as RC religion.
