Just curious if anyone is familiar with Phil O'Brien who married Bridget Quinlan.  They were married Feb. 20th, 1843 and at some point after that migrated to the United States.  They are my great, great, great grand parents.  William O'Brien may have been Phil's father but I can't confirm it.  I haven't been able to find any relatives later than Phil & Bridget.  I recently took a DNA test and found out I'm still about 95% Irish.  I actually visited Cappawhite last week.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I found an 1818 baptismal record in Cappawhite. See below. The father on this record was Daniel.

  • Michael, you mentioned you have taken a DNA test. Which one did you take and where do you have it listed. I and my Mother took the Ancestry DNA and I have both there and at GEDMATCH. My maternal great grandparents were all from Cappawhite Parish. Richard Mockler (Ayle) and Honora O'Neill Mockler of Briarfield/Druminda. Honora's mother was a Dwyer.
