Hi Does anyone have any information regarding Annie O'Brien (AKA Hannie in the 1901 census of Carrick on suir and Hannah in the 1911 census). She was borne 1 8 1887 in CoS the daughter of James Brien and Mary (nee Cummins). Their address at the time was given as Pil Road CoS. Her siblings were Michael/Ellen/Mary/Catherine/Thomas. James was -according to family hearsay a Blacksmith in Three Bridges - where he and Mary are thought to have originated.
In the 1901 CoS census the family were living at 9 Ballylynch CoS and by 1911 had moved to no 30
Hannah was witness to Marys marriage (my grandmother) in november 1913 and according to my late father emigrated to USA shortrly after where he believed she had 2 sons (possibly became priests) and lived in the Boston area.
So far i have been unable to find any record of her emigration, however i do have a photo take of her in USA taken probably in 1920's inscribed on the back as Ann.
If anyone has any further info on Annie it would be much appreciated
