Thomas Kinane m. Bridget Bourke (Gurteenavalla) in 1877. Thomas was from Glentane, and the family remained there until at least 1963 when their son Patrick died and was buried in Illeigh Cemetery.  Another son Michael died between 1940 and 1963. There appears to be no descendents from this family.

Thomas had a brother Michael, he and his wife Mary McGrath lived in Druminphilip.

Any contacts with these families would be very much appreciated.

Myriam Scott (nee Kinane)

  • Hi Clare

I am afraid I have learned nothing new, I am particularly interested in the Kinane's from Drumminphillip/Drombane.

    Regards

  • Dear Myriam, as a long shot have you considered the online phone book at the link below as a means of contacting anyone in the area with the surname:

    http://www.eirphonebook.ie/q/name/

Church records for parishes in the Diocese of Cashel and Emly are not available online so you will have to contact the Tipperary Family History Research Centre or try the digitised records available on registers/nli.ie

Do let us know if you learn anything new

    Best wishes
