Probably too much to expect that there would be any living realatives in the area after so long a time.  People move away, start families, follow jobs, etc.     Sometime in the 40's or 50's , my uncle, a Franciscan priest visited the family in Ireland, but that record has long since disappeared.  It would be nice to know if Michael and Mary (Ryan) Gleason are buried in the Killoscully churchyard, so I could pay my respects when I visit next month.  What follows is info I received from another post on this site.  This is why I'm looking in this area.

you might have seen that I commented on a previous post by you. I went to Killoscully and there is a headstone "Erected by John J Gleeson of Coolreigh now of Buffalo NY USA in memory of his mother Mary etc" His father Michael is also mentioned as well as several other relatives - it is very difficult to read but luckily in the Church porch you will find a full transcript. 

I don't know your travel plans but I assume you realise that Killoscully is a fairly remote village - if you want directions or a transcript of the gravestone you can email me at jimvaughan@eircom.net.
