Looking for information on Michael Murphy who married Sara Ryan.  The one child that I know of is Mary Ellen Murphy born ca 1839 - 1844.  She may have had siblings, I'm not sure.  Mary Ellen married in Quebec, Canada in 1865.  She required a dispensation and I believe it was becuase her Catholic baptismal record was in Ireland.  She states her parents were from Nenagh, Tipperary, Ireland.  At this point I don't know how she got to Quebec.  With her family?  With a group of orphans?  Any help would be appreciated.

Hi I checked www.rootsireland.ie to see if I could find  Mary Murphy born to Michael Murphy and Sarah Ryan in Nenagh parish, but couldn't find any- www.rootireland.ie is a fee paying search-  and the names Murphy and Ryan are popular.

The nearest I could find was a Mary Murphy baptised in Upperchurch in 1835 11 April.

father Michael Murphy, mother Ellen Ryan.

however that may not be the right one- Upperchurch is a parish near Nenagh, but when I checked marriage records of a Michael Murphy marrying in North Tipperary the only one that came up where Michael Murphy and Ellen Ryan in Upperchurch in 1831

this could be a wild goose chase, my apologies if so

Another option is to contact :
