Looking for information regarding James Sweeney and Johanna/Judith Leston Sweeney (1801-1869 in NY) and family.
Son Edward born 1833
Daughter Mary born 1835
Daughter Hanora born 1842
Our understanding is that they lived in Clonmel based on some information in a bible. James Sweeney did not come to the US with his family.
I have not found passenger records for the family, but from census records it is believed the arrived in the US during the famine through NY in 1851.
Edward went on to marry Mary Mahar in Hartland, NY
and Hanora married Michael Monahan in Hartland, NY
