Francis Guest (c1776-1848) and Anne Hardy (c1785-1859) were married in 1804 in Killaloe Diocese, Ireland. They lived in Shinrone, King's County before moving c1815 to Templemore, County Tipperary. The family emigrated from there, settling in Birr, Ontario, Canada in 1830. Their children were: Thomas Henry; John (1806-1834), unmarried; James and Robert (see below); Francis Jr. (1815-1817); Anne (1819-1820); Jane (1821) who married a Thomas or Robert Bridgeman; and Elizabeth (1826-1915) who married John Elliott. Thomas Henry (c1805-1857), the eldest, married Mary McRoberts (18 16-1893), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William McRoberts in 1837.

I believe Francis Guest's parents were John & Mary Guest. I am looking for information about them, plus hoping to connect with other researchers of this family.

Thank you & greetings from North Vancouver, B.C. Canada

  • Hello Margaret,

My name is John Guest of Melbourne Australia. I manage on behalf of the Guest family, the Guest Family Trove.

On behalf of a prospect family member, seeking materials on Frank junior, I found your message. The information your posted accords with our Guiest Family Trove records.

The only exception is that we make Francis, the elder, who married to Anne Hardy, the son of Thoams Guest (1743-1819) and Elizabeth Williams.

If you would like to know more feel free to contact  me (also jguest1000@gmail.com).

I extend an invitation for you to access our private Guest Family Trove. Let me know via email if you would like to accept the invitation.

Apart form you being able to access our family records, you may be able to assist me further, to verify Frank, junior is the son of Frank the elder and brother of the other Guest males you cite. This would help to solve a family mystery due to an absnece of reord for this father son relationship, and thereby in the process help me to help one of my relatives in the USA very happy.

Membership of the trove is by invitation and includes evidence-based family members, prospect family members and scholars/historians/geneaologists.

    Kind regards

    John Guest

    Guesty
