I couldn't get a match for the marriage of Connor Maher and Mary Tracey in Tipperary on www.rootsireland.ie/ but did find one for Cornelius Maher and Mary Tracey 1844; there were also Thomas 1839 & 1846 & John 1848 all marrying Mary Tracey (busy girl!)

It costs to view the full record on rootsireland but it will give you the parish; it MAY also give you the parents' names - some do / some don't.

The baptism record of Winifred is also there - 1851 - mother Mary Tracey & father CORNELIUS Maher so looks like he's your man.

thanks Col I will check it all out. I intend to visit Ireland in September this year. I want to visit the area where Adamstown was in Templemore but cannot find where I could stay that would be close. I will come by train so will not have a car to drive around. Do you have any suggestions of where I could stay? I am a pensioner so would prefer budget accommodation. Any help would be appreciated
