Whilst I've found a huge amount of information for tracking the Irish who emigrated to America, Australa and Canada, I can't find anything to track when my ancestors actually came to England.  From the births of the children I estimate that they came to England between 1848 (youngest child to be born in Ireland) and 1853 (only child to be born in  England).

Does anyone know where to find records relating to Irish to UK?

Assuming that they all travelled together, there would have been :

Patrick KENNEDY (b 1809), his wife Margaret KENNEDY nee HOGAN (b1816)  children Patrick (b1836), Silvester (bpt 1841), John (bpt 1843), and Michael (bpt 1848).

They may also have been travelling with John HOGAN (b 1832) and also Roger HOGAN (b1825)  maybe with wife Margaret.

  • Hi there,

I stand to be corrected but I don't think records were kept to uk pre 1890.  No records were kept from the irish side but I don't know if records were kept on port of arrival.

Sorry I can't help, but maybe there's someone out there who can.

    regards,

  • There were never any passenger records for travel between Ireland and the UK. (It was a domestic jounrey till 1922 and still is if you are travelling from Northern  ireland).

  • If you are a frequent flyer and your profile demands extensive travel then acquiring your own aircraft or leasing it for block hours could be the most ideal solution for your dynamic travel requirements. Air Charter Services
