My GGrandfather, Micheal James Ryan, was born in Thurles in 1826. I think he and 2 brothers, James and Edward may have immigrated to USA. I have info that Micheal married in Wareham,MASS.USA in the mid 1840's and moved to Canada about this time. He had one son Daniel,born in the USA in 1844 and the rest of family was born in Nova Scotia, Canada.James and Edward also came to Nova Scotia. I would like to find the names of Micheal's parents or any distant relatives who may still reside in Thurles. Micheal died in Nova Scotia in 1896 after working as a seaman for many years as a Rigger on ships.
