Hi

My great grandmother was Annie Hayes of County Tipperary who married Denis Fitzpatrick of Maryborough, County Laois after both emigrated (separately) to Queensland, Australia in 1883.  Annie was born in about 1865 and Denis about 1861.

The birth certifiates of their children name a parish in Tipperary which I have been unable to decipher or locate.  It appears to be "Schronan" or "Scronan".  See attached.

I have not been able to positively locate Annie in County Tipperary although I have found several birth records which could be her.  It is possible her father was John Hayes, although none of Annie and Denis's 10 children were named John and this would be unusual.

Can anyone help me locate Annie's birthplace or parentage?

Not sure if the place name shown on the three records is a townland or parish. This site allows you to search for twonlands using various search options http://www.thecore.com/seanruad/index.html   I asked for all townlands in Tipperary which star twith an S  Below is the response and hopefully you can see the output.

I also found these parishes.Shyane in North Tipperary and Shanrahan in South Tipperary.

Can you find her death record which might show her parents names?

I did search on Find My Past from 1861-1865 and did not find a likely record for an Anne Hayes.
