Patrick Ryan is my great great grandfather. At about the age of 20, he married Mary Ann Buckley in 1854 in Kilmore, Victoria, Australia. He was born in Tipperary and his parents were Stephen Ryan and Mary Casey. I have been unable to find any record of Patrick's emigration to Australia with his parents but family memories says that he did. I have tried Irish Family History Foundation database bur have found no records that I could be confident related to Patrick, Stephen or Mary. Any help would be appreciated.

Dear John
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in getting back to you.
It may be that Stephen and his wife married in a parish and at a time that predates the parish records. Given that from both mine and your search of rootsireland.ie there are no baptism records for their children and no record for their marriage, you could consider searching rootsweb or ancestry.com for an instance of the family name?
There are some Ryans mentioned in Griffith?s Valuation (1847-1864) in Tipperary, but without a parish to focus on it would be difficult to verify, which if any, are your Stephen:

Hi Clare,
I potentially have a little more information. On the birth registry entries in Australia for Bridget and Thomas, first and second children of my Patrick and Mary Buckley, there appears to be a town name starting with B. The following letters don't appear to include any letter where there is an upward or downward sloping stroke as in d or l or y but I couldn't find any town names that appeared likely. I have attached copies of the records in the hope that you or someone else might have some ideas.
I have just realised that the word is actually words and is "Born in". Sorry. "Born in" does not usually appear in these excerpts from birth registers.
In addition, there is a possibility that Stephen was actually named Patrick Stephen or Stephen Patrick. I did find some birth records on rootsIreland for a Patrick born of Patrick Ryan and Mary Casey at about the right date. This couple also had a couple of other children with the same names as some of my Patrick's children. Rosecrea Parish, County Tipperary 19 February 1830.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers
John
